Windows - Delayed Write Failed

6.7.1 SP1, Win2003. on of our developers hacks on the css via notepad though the network path: \\server\default\main\branch\workarea\content\css\

A couple times now the file has become corrupt and I am seeing an error saying Delayed Write Failed in the event viewer.

Anyone see this before ? Clues ?

I've not seen this 6.7.1. But I've seen enough blue screens for one life with 6.0. Check if there are any conflicts with your anti virus software( if you have one). Iwov share is never stable on windows. hope you have a backup of your store. Its good idea to freeze your store and run a quick backup everyday. A simple xcopy to would do it too.

Who would have thought... Ever tried to "xcopy quick everyday backup" for 30-50 Gb Backing Store? 1 Tera? No? Try it one day, it's very educational.

xcopy is the last option. Besides I've tried it my self. Of course on a store less than 5 gb. I dont like Teamsite on windows for sure .

HAve you ever find why you have Delayed Write Failed?
