Showing a Flash File in HTML

I want to place an if statement in a TPL to determine whether or ont the image provided by the contributor is a swf file, or a gif image. Is there a way to do that with iw_if in the presenation template? Thanks,

Assuming an item in a DCT is named something like "image", then the PT could have:

<iw_if expn="{iw_value name='dcr.image'/} =~ /\.swf$/">
<iw_then>
<!-- it's a .swf -->
</iw_then>
<iw_else>
<!-- it's not a .swf -->
</iw_else>
</iw_if>
