Hi,
Current portal is configured with its own LDAP. But We want to configure Active Directory without losing Existing LDAP. will it be possible to use AD and LDAP on same Portal?
Thanks
Jayaram
Hi Jayaram
Portal does not contain its own LDAP, it uses the Database configured for user management.

Hey Jayaram,
Portal uses authentication.xml, entity_datasource.xml, entity_management.xml and properties.txt to control authentication and security connectors used with various arbitrary address books.
You can define an unlimited (in theory) number of the authentication realms as per the netscape ldap jndi definition. In all cases you will need to extend the contextpool.default.naming.xxxxx to used your <named> configuration contextpool.<named>.naming.xxxxxx for the imitator to work. Please take a look into the portal’s examples folder.
The main difficulty you will encounter is that the only one <named> configuration can be set asdefault.
Happy hacking.
Andy
