I see WEM tracks if item is approved and when it was approved. Does it track WHO approved the item? Either with the 'Approve' button or w/in an Approval Workflow?
If content is approved then the last modifier is the approver and last modified is the approval date.
WEM not track from where it got approved(WF/approve button).
But with the WF approval activity you can update log with who is the WF user that recently performed action on content. Hope that help!

WEM doesn’t track “Last Approved By” for CMS Managed Objects OOTB.
But it is possible to do so using custom code (Listener). Similar tracking can be done for Workflows approve action as well.
