Configuring a default tpl for a datatype

If we have more than one tpl for a template, while previewing we get a CGI window to confirm the tpl that will be referred for rendering the page.
Can we bypass this activity and set a default tpl that will be referred to while previewing the DCRs of that datatype?

You could have a custom OnPreview (FormAPI) handler to do this. In there you can set your default PT and do any additional logic to do the actual preview.

TS 6.1 has been End-of-Life'd for a loooong time. You should think of upgrading.

Another option, aside from vpatel's suggestion of using FormAPI, is to change your 'settings' in the DCT to always use a specific tpl.

Do not use FormAPI. There are several reasons why, the most important one is that it won't work if you open DCR in "View" mode.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I need some more details on this. Do we need to change the settings in the DCT using templating.cfg or can you please explain where instead do we need to configure the DCT to use a specific tpl?
