VFE Paragraph setting

Is there a way to configure VFE so that a carriage return not only create two paragraphs but also adds a line break/carriage between them in the VFE mode. At this moment, if we enter two separate lines, it would appear as following in the HTML mode:

<p>line1<p/>
<p>line2<p/>

and on the visual format window they appear like:
line1
line2

However, I would like them to appear like the way its rendered in HTML:
line1

line2

Any help would be appreciated.

Adjust the stylesheet used by VFE so that your paragraph tags have larger top/bottom padding values.
