Displaying results of checkboxes

Please excuse me if this is a real basic problem, but I'm fairly new to TeamSite Development. Took the Bootcamp training last summer and finally getting to put the knowledge to use.

I have a container in my DCT with a series of checkboxes. The options relate to the various plug-ins that may be needed to view content on a page.

The results in the DCR looks like:

The code in my TPL works only when one item is selected. (When it passes the 'if value EQ pdf, then' test.)

My presentation code would work if the DCR results had one line for each box selected. Is there something simple to get the DCT to write out each option selected individually instead of comma delimited?

Or should I be doing something different in my TPL?

Hi,
In presentation template, split the value of "file_type" value with delimiter "," using split method of perl, and store the result into an array. Now iterate on this array and now you can validate with if block.
Below code will solve your problem:

This seems to work (in that it generates the page without any errors), however it will only display the first value in the list it comes to.

If all three are selected, it will only display the text for Acrobat. If swf and zip are selected, it will only display the text for Flash.

After the IW_PERL breaks up the values each following value has a space after the comma.

If I change:

[/html]
to:
[html]

[/html]
then everything seems to work fine.

Of course, this only works when PDF is always the first one.

Is there some way to strip out the space in the DCR when it writes out the selections?

Yeah!!, You got it. I was missed out space while splitting. Any way you solved it thats fine.
