disabling editing tpls

I want to disable editing option in some branches for all users for tpls.

Please suggest what things I should keep in mind.

I have a base branch if I make changes in base branch tpl after submitting that all branches gets updated.

So I donot want user should edit other branches tpls manually.

do an inline callout from STAGING area from the base branch.

sorry, I mean use a component presentation template from staging. Inline callout are meant to be for a similar thing, but for DCTs.

The syntax is in the documentation.

I would do this via a submit-filter, in which you chmod & chown the correct user-privs to the file. So only you are allowed to modify this tpl.

Or, maybe just as easy, buy yourself a baseball-bat and don't hesitate to use it when a user has modified your tpl. :-)
