Greek letter('multibyte characters') not encoding properly.

Hi,

We have trouble regarding Greek letter('multibyte characters') encoding. We are using Greek letter('multibyte characters') in extended attributes when we are extracting it using iwextattr
its not feching in properly mean it not encoding. Do anyone have any idea why this might be happing.

The spelling is fine, except for one or two errors - it is the grammar which is a bit off, but given that the subject matter is about Greek letters, perhaps you should consider giving the person the benefit of the doubt that English is not their first language?

Try making sure that you use the '

-u

' flag for iwextattr, but when setting *and* retrieving EAs via the command line.

Never accused anyone - after all, I am not the police here (I wonder who that is ;-) ) Just stating how annoying it is.

About your '-u' option, the cssdk api for iwextattr probably does not have the '-u' option. We need to know what version of TS and if they are using perl or java.

I haven't had to deal with multibyte characters too much - you may have to go through more than one step since you also have to make sure that the values you set / retrieve are XML compliant - perhaps Boris or one of the other folks here who have dealt with multibyte characters (I believe) may be able to offer some assistance.
In addition, you might try contacting IWOV Support.
