Hi,

Is it possible to have a data deploy configuration setup for a table that has the column with the primary key that is auto generated. So the insert sql will be something like this

insert into TABLENAME (Vpath_Id , VPATH , MESSAGE_CD, PAGE_LOCATION ) values (FN_SEQ_TEAMW_VPATHID,'abc','abc','abc')

The FN_SEQ_TEAMW_VPATHID is a function in the database setup to return back the sequence nextval

In the table Vpath_Id is the primary key and has the value generated from the next sequence in the table and not from the dcr.

Please let me know, if this can be accomplished in opendeploy/datadeploy configuration files.

Auto-generated by a DB? Not in a supported fashion. However, you can have DD pre-processors that can call your function to get the next sequential ID and then DD can insert that. This will work fine for new (i.e. insert op) records but you may have issues with update. You may have to account for that based on your requirements.

Another option that I used before is to set DB Triggers on INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE events on *standard* DD
Populated Schema. From handlers you can then use DB Sequence or whatever you want to generate PKs and populate
related Tables
