How can I use Loadrunner or JMeter to test assets downloading?
bobcaiyue
I want to test assets downloading to find out "break point". But web test software like " Loadrunner or JMeter " only test server side. They don't process JavaScript and Java Applet which are processed on client side. But MediaBin has lots of these technology. If I disabled JavaScript in IE. The download popup window doesn't appear as usual when I click "download". So could anyone give me some clues, how do you test assets downloading? Which software do you use ?
Many thanks !

I know much about neither TS testing strategies nor MediaBin. But I have heard of something called TeamSite Multivariate testing which is an optional module to TS 6.7.2. I don't know the details. Better have a look at the attached link.

To test server performance you might want to consider writing a script using the COM or web services interface to download a set of assets repeatedly. We perform tests like this ourselves to stress the server.
