Hi All,

Is it possible that we can disable getLatest option for some branches in TeamSite.
If yes, could you please let us know how to do it.
We are using Teamsite 6.5 Sp2.

Role Based Restrictions can be done by customizing the TS and making required entry in "roles.xml",but as far Branch Level Restrictions are concerned i haven't got anything.It may be possible using UI Customization.

I believe the only way to do this is to replace (delete) the OOTB Get Latest menu option and put your own custom Get Latest option in its place - your customization would then check the branch (presumably using some config file) that it is to process and if "disallowed" simply display a message that Get Latest is not permitted there, otherwise it would invoke iwupdate with the correct arguments to perform the Get Latest.

However, this begs the question - Why do you feel you need to disable Get Latest for certain branches?

Hi Adam,

As far as Menu Item is concerned, it could be removed. However still not able to think off a way to disable the button link being provided within the bar provided above the file listed frame.

I hope there should be method for the same to be removed/disable other than using InnerHTML. Smiley Happy

Your hope is vindicated.

The mechanism is essentially the same as removing Menu Items, you list links to be removed within 'iwov-delete' Tag.
The difference is targeted structure, instead of 'action-list' with nested 'menu' it should be 'heading' Tag.
( It is IMO outright stupid to remove "Get Latest" GUI Items for any Branch but what do I know )
