I have created a template - how do I add another variable/value/clickthru?
SarahOptimost
To add new variables, values or clickthrus after a template has been created you need to step through the template wizard again and add them in the same way you would as when creating a new template. The template wizard can be accessed from the 'Change template details' menu in the left navigation at the template level (mouseover the arrow to the right of this and the link is in the drop down menu).
This link will not appear after a wave has been created using the template. If you need to add variables/vlaues/clickthrus after this stage then it will be necessary to make a copy of the template and use this for any new waves. To do this go to the subject level and click new at the bottom of the 'Templates' box - the template wizard will open as it would if you were creating a new template. Select 'Copy settings from an existing template' instead of 'Copy and paste template document' and then on the next scrren select the template you wish to make a copy of. You will then be able to follow the template wizard as if modifying the template and add new variables etc.

So Change template details can only be done before the template has been included in an active wave.
Can we Change Properties, Change copy or Change variable values after the template has been included in an active wave?
SarahOptimost
Once the template is included in an active wave, it is still possible to change any code within variable values (or within the module but not inside a variable) it is just not possible to add or delete variables, clickthrus and values. Also these changes will only show up on the live page where the code is installed once the creatives for the live wave are refreshed.
It is also possible to change the name of a template after the active wave has been created, or to change the control creative.
