two different mount points for a teamsite installation - feasiblity check

Hi there,

We are working on a redesign for our client. For that, we created a seperate branch on the same Teamsite server. However, for memory reasons, we need to seperate it out and ensure that we dont get into space issues later.

One of the option which is currently being looked at is - have a different mount point for the new branch while the existing branch continues to work without change. The two mount points will co-exist for the development phase. Is this something doable or we have a teamsite restriction on the use of mount points?

Any other thoughts/ ideas/ suggestions??

I suggest you read the various TeamSite manuals and release notes regarding "MultiStore" and/or the "iwstoreadm" CLT (the latter will probably yield more results, although it is the former which you seem to be asking about).

If that is what you are talking about - then yes, it is definitely feasible, but it costs $$'s for the license to maintain each additional store on-line.

Note also, that having a separate backing store mount point for some branches does not mean that you'll have separate configuration files for things like:
