In short how the 2nd OD instance will help me, though in doc its given how to setup an additional instance?

I believe the intended usage is in cases where you need different [Base] server configurations for deploying to different receivers - e.g.: Say you have a single Base Server that needs to deploy to nodes A and B:

In this setup you could setup the default instance of the Base server to not use SSL and set up a second instance of the Base server to use SSL - then you can use the appropriate instance of the server when performing the deployments based on their need (or lack thereof) for SSL.This is probably most useful in large organizations with disparately maintained sites and/or for hosting companies which need to support different configurations for different customers.There are probably other examples, but I hope the above gives you an idea of how/why this functionality may be used.
