Preview & Generate

Hi All,

I have only one presentation template for a data type.
When I say preview or generate from DCT, I get the popup with radio button where I have to select the presentation template.

I want that my user should not be asked for this because there is only one presentation template, and there is nothing else to select.

This is unnecessarily increasing the number of clicks, the end users has to go through.

Is there anyway we can default it to the only presentation template available and not ask the user to select it.

Ravinda, what version of TS, OS, SP's, etc are you using? TST has always worked the way you're asking for--it does not prompt for PT selection if there is only 1 PT available. This has been true since 4.0.

Could we see the section of templating.cfg for this data-type?

Hi Bob,

Here is what was happening.

If I have multiple PTs. I open an existing DCR. Hit preview/generate. It will show me the list of PTs for selection. I keep the DCR open. Remove the PTs from config file (templating.cfg) except one. Hit preview/generate again, and it will show me the only one PT available for selection.

This doesn't happen - after I close the already opened DCR and re-open it.

So I think I am fine with this issue. Thanks for your help.
