Cssdk | Find if file is locked & attached with some WF etc

Hi,

We are using Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1 and workflow modeler 1.0.1.0
We want to do workflow initiation validations (if the file is not already attached with some other workflow, if the file is not locked etc)

Earlier in WFT this was easily possible using CLTs but in CSSDK I do not see any methods via which we can get these informations.

If anyone has pointers please let me know.

You can do this using preprocessor or postprocessor command. For more detail go through the WFM User Guide. This will give complete process and feature of this command.

Everything you can do via CLT you can do in the CSSDK. Faizi is correct. Pre and Post processors is where you want to do this. Inside of there you have access to the full CSSDK, which allows you to check locks, etc. You do not need to call CLTs from Java.

Thanks Bill. I have got a CSFile class where we can check if the file is locked. I will try that out.

I have a related question after my job validations are done i want to show a error page to the user in case validation fails. I am not sure how can I show a JSP page to the user from the pre processor java class. That error page should have a Ok and Cancel button. Clicking cancel workflow model should not initiate and Ok button should allow the workflow model to proceed further.

Please help me to identify how this can be achieved. I have spent quite a lot of time figuring that out but JSP is not getting called.

I do not believe that is currently possible. You will have to file a support case and have that be a feature request.
