I am on TS 6.7.1 on Linux, i am just doing a simple Job Attribute Filter Customization and in the ui_custom.xml for my attribute i am mentioning my

type="string" and no need to define "typeFormat" (according to the manual)but some how this doesn't work. i.e. after i make the changes as needed and run make_toolkit.xml. The changes are not reflected in the workflow window on contrary if i define my

type="date" typeFormat="LONG"

everything is fine. did anyone see such issue?

Well for some reason, even though i define the variable in my wft, it doesn't show up on the Workflow tab? can any one tell me why this can happen?

Also if i define my variable as type="date" and passin a string will it throw an error? I do not see any error even if i pass a date?
