when ever a static ip is given to the teamsite server..it behaves erratically...please help

If you're chaning the IP number on the fly, you'll need to reboot the server, at least on Windows. Also, check the iw.cfg file. If the IP number is in there (instead of the server name or "localhost"), it must be manually changed there too, and then you must run iw-home/iw-webd/bin/iwwebd_conf.ipl.
