Update DCR

I need to update a data element in my DCR. I added a field that would flag the page as being a Internet or Intranet page. The only way I can determine that is by the location of the HTML page.

What is the best or easiest way to set the DCR value and to accomplish what I need?

If there is some code that someone could direct me to I would appreciate it as well.
