proxy server

shahzamaj

The proxy server is provided by the interwoven or is it client company's custom software ?

purpose of this proxy server is to redirect the requests or is it to screen the requests and contents to and from content store ?

If this proxy server is custom foftware of the company then how come the process it is running is iwproxy ?

THe proxy we talk about is iwproxy which is part of TeamSite. This should not be confused by the corporate proxy server that you likely use to get out to the internet.

thats what I was thinking. So what does the proxy of teamsite do ?
Teamsite proxy , is that a separate server altogether ?

Have you tried reading the TeamSite Administrator's Guide - like the section that (at least in the version I'm looking at now) is entitled "About the Proxy Server"?

If not - I suggest you do that first - and then, if you still have questions, post back (and if all your questions are answered there, please post that too and close the thread)
