Hi,

As a requirement, i have been passed with 2 IDs; abc and xyz. Now i need to check as out of these which is a user id and which one is group id?

Is it possible? Any pointers or suggestion?

In case it is a user, i need to change the owner of a CGITask or else if is a group id, i need to make it shareable to a grouptask.

These IDs i get after a definite task and prior to both CGI and Group Task from DB.

It is with WFM on Solaris and i am getting it as a text from DB, which is definitely a UID/GID and thats what needs to be captured?

Whoever defined the requirements around this operation either hasn't provided sufficient information or didn't think about needing to provide sufficient information to allow for distinguishing one set of integer values (UIDs) from the other (GIDs) - are you sure there is no other information stored in the DB which distinguishes whether the integer value represents a user or group?

A GID or UID on Unix is a number, starting from 1 and going up. So you get 100. Is that aknipp (user) or tsadmingrp (group) they both use the same ID.
