Is it possible to us DCR files generated outside of TeamSite FormsPublisher?

Hi:

I'm kind of new to TeamSite and need to move database content into DCRs.

I wrote a file outside of TeamSite (using info from our database) whose content exactly matches the structure of a working DCR. After I copy it into the 'data' folder and try to open it, I get the error ‘There is no file association for the file…’.

Is there a way to get it to open in the datacapture form?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

yes, you just need to set the EA "TeamSite/Templating/DCR/Type" for that DCT type on the DCR and then it will open in the DCT.

Thanks for the quick reply- I'll give that a try.

I'm kind of concerned about not being able to do a batch operation of this type, though. I'll end up with more than 300 files and would prefer not to run separate command line script for each one.

An old script that I ran across- Get_attribute_NT.ipl- seemed to be just what I needed, but it wouldn't run. I later found that it's not supported in the version of TeamSite used by my organization.

Any ideas? Thanks a million in advance.

I have not tested this. I pulled it out of some of my other code, but something like:

I strongly suggest you read the manual and get some perl and TeamSite training.
