Strange Phenomenon in MediaBin

We use the MediaBin window client software to browse a folder in MediaBin.
On the left side we have the folder name then a bracket indicated that we have 221 assets in that folder but inthe right hand side the system only list 99 assets. When we do a search for a keyword in that folder. Only 99 assets return. If you click on the column of Modified Time then all of the 221 assets will appear then if we search for the same key value in that folder we have all 221 assets return.

This only happen in this particular folder. To fix this I have to create a new folder and move all of the assets from the old folder to the new one then everything work like normal.

MediaBin version 4.6.1 Build 7.

Is this a clean install or was it migrated from another server? Any scripts that run on these servers?

We upgraded from version 4.5.3 to 4.6.3 last year and evrything working ok.

There is no script running during the day. Maintenance script only ran at night.

Lately, some of our users did get a MeidaBIn Client error revising Metadata.
Reason: A timeout occurred while waiting for a reply from the peer (0x80040420)

There might be some inconsistencies in your DB. Is you DB maintenance schedule set in MediaBin and is that running normally? How often is that set? Do you have the DB.log turned on and do you see any errors? You might want to contact support and open up a case to take a look at things.
