UI Customization | adding a new button or link on workflow task window

Hi,

We have a requirement to add a new button or link on the workflow user task window. We have gone through the UI customization guide and found that how a text field can be added (adding in workflow_custom.xml) but how to add a button or link is not there. We have tried changing the ui_custom.xml but that did not help.

I am using Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1, workflow modeler 1.0.0.1, SOLARIS 10

If anyone has tried the same please help me out.
