jsp in SP component
nirjari
TS6.7.2, Solaris
Weblogic, LiveSite in runtime
An SP component is displayed by the jsp in runtime environment. So when a change is made in the jsp, its deployed in the runtime to make is effective.
In the component, this jsp is included by "generator" element. A DCT is created, which captures the jsp file for different components from staging and updates the properties file. Generator, receives the jsp from this properties file.
When changes are made to the jsp file and its deployed in runtime environment it displays the component with changes. What happens if this jsp file is not submitted to staging ?
Will the DCT, which updates properties file will still be using same old jsp file ?
If thats the case, then runtime environment will display component with changes and edit mode will display component with old jsp ?
When new jsp is submitted to staging, how will it replace the existing version unless changed manually ?
