look at the Command Line Tools for iwextattr -s "attrib=val" file

try creating an output file and and looking at its properties..

you have to use CLT through command line for External/extended attributes.

you can create a workflow that would call an external task, which would call the CLT.. but "something" or someone needs to call it at some point..
