Workflow Modeler file comments and special characters issue.

users are getting annoyed that they can't use new lines or special characters in file comments when they want to submit it thru a workflow (wfm).

the issue is that anything, the user types after ` " ' and & or if the user hits "enter" key to go to next line, is not captured as part of the file comment.
for example if the user types: asfskdhgfd325'abnwetrew54 only this asfskdhgfd325' will be captured as a file comment.

this is a known issue to IWOV and it doesnt seem to have been solved with the latest patches or versions of TS.

TS-3157 :In the workflow instantiation screen, if you provide multi-line input for a textarea field, only the first line is used, as newline characters are not supported. (from release notes of TS 6.7.2 page 58/120)

doesnt anybody have or knows or a workaround?

this is on TS 6.7.1 SP1 Patch4 on linux.

haha nope, that is not an option. also the option of recreating what IWOV already created (with bugs) is not an option since time is not in our side.

i would be surprised if nobody on here is not annoyed by this issue and hasn't tried to find a workaround.

that is great idea, now i just have to figure out how to capture those file comments in the custom_instantiation form. i assume it is just matter of finding the item in the form which holds the comment then change its value to whatever i want?
