Tagger UI | issue with read only item

I am using a custom tagger UI screen in which I just have only one field Expiry Date. This filed is read only. Now the issue is when I try to tag a single file Tagger UI screen is displayed with Expiry Date field as read only... But when I select multiple files and click Tag, Tagger UI is allowing me to edit the Expiry date field.

Any idea how can I force this field to be read only when we tag multiple files ?

The other issue in the above DCT is, I have a calendar that allows the user to select date. Even though I am setting the window size, its not reflecting when calendar screen is opened. It is resizable too....
Please help me to fix these issues..
