how to add Web APP to teamsite

Hello,

trying to move from using cgi/perl to servlets/java. so i created a small web app (servlets and JSPs). the web app is a standalone app meaning that it is not manipulating anything in teamsite. however, i want to make it available as a tab or custom menu item in teamsite and make it run along with teamsite so i wont have to install a saperate app server to run it.

so i thought to add it as custom code to teamsite.
I created the .war file and uploaded it to custom_src/lib then modified the custom/etc/web.xml to identify the app url.

then adding custom tab with url to point to the app:

rebuilt teamsite and my new tab is there, but when i click on the tab i get the error below. it is the same error showing up in servlet_out.log:
from the error it looks like my SampleWebAPP servlet is getting invoked, but it is still missing something.

i checked the .war file and it has all the classes required and the .war file is under:

./httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/lib/SampleWebAPP.war

this is n ts 671 sp1 on redhat AS 4.

i hope to get some pointers or suggestions to why the servelt is not getting invoked properly, maybe somebody who has done this before can validate the steps i took and if i missed anything.

Try to include a reference to your WAR File into /iwhome/local/config/lib/customer_center/toolkits.xml.

Alternatively, you can perhaps follow IWOV recommended practice of placing your code under
/iwhome/local/config/lib/customer_center/customer_src/web/<YourProjectName>. In this case TS ANT
*should* build it into .../customer_out/customer.tk.war that is referenced in toolkits.xml
