I am wondering whether it is possible to increase the size of Author Task Comments Textarea box.
Please let me know how can I do it, if it is possible.

Do you mean in the Workflow Instantiation form or the Task Details screen?

For the former - you should be able to specify rows and cols attributes for the textarea within the WFT.

For the latter - you *might* be able to do it through UI customization, but I don't know for sure - never tried.

Read the UICG and see if there's anything there that might address it - other than that, contact Support and see if they can provide an officially supported way to do what you want (my guess is "no", but it doesn't hurt to ask)
