invoking urlgenerate from java code

We are using xslt presentation template. and using urlgenerate to generate the htmls.

We are using java for developing the workflow through which we will call an external java code.
How can be pass this dcr,xsl and output path parameter to urlgenerate task and invoke it throuhgh java code.
We tried with HttpURLconnection, it did not work.
When we tried using the command iexplore , it is getting generated...however the browser window is coming up..How can that be suppresed...any suggestions or other option

since it is urlgen, i think you will have to open it in window, unless you put some extra js code in the generate page to close (just a thought).

But if you need this to be done in the backend without interaction from the user, why dont you use xalanTransform ? (you will have to set the EAs manually).
