Auto deletion of branches

Hi all,

I got shocked when i saw few branches and workarea disappearing from the TS, this happened after the TS server machine was restarted because of a problem.
A perl script which went into an infinite loop was executing and updating a log file(user defined). So to kill this process the restart of the system was performed and after that, there were few branches and also workareas which were not there in the branching structure.

What might be the actual problem and does the missing contents could be retrieved by any cause?

TS V6.7.1
windows 2003 SP1, Enterprise edition

Adding more info to the issue, before the TS was restarted there was another process where maketoolkit.ipl was executed and the build was sucessful. UI did not come up so iwreset -a was executed to reset all the services, then leading to problem stated in the earlier post.

Kindly share any solutions for this issue.
