browse and attach files from work area to a job
prasad54
Hi
I have a requirement to provide an option to the user to select the files from work area and attach them to a job. To achive this i am following below procedure.
1)i have written a cgi task as first task to provide a separate window for the user to navigate through work area and select files and attach them to the job.
2)i have written an external task as a successor task to cgi task,in which i am preparing the file list to deploy to the server.
i am very much confused with the transitions from cgi task to external task.
is this way of approaching correct?
if anyone has already done this, please attach the sample wft file and sample cgi task ipl file. i have gone through the TS Configurable_author_submit example workflow ,but i am not getting the idea to reuse that for my requirement.
it would be really helpful if anyone attach the sample wft and cgi Ipl file.
Thanks in advance.

Plain vanilla User Task has "Attached Files" menu with the Existing Files and Modified Files entries to do Attachments,
you do not have to code anything.

CGI Transition
is a bit silly in TS. Basically, you may:
- redirect your CGI
Browser
Window to iw-cc/transitiontask
- Use CGI_lite::iwcallback Method (recommended if you are doing that in Perl).
- Use WFTask::CallBack Method (Perl, too). Note that you may compromise "immediate" mode for the next CGI with that
- Use CSCGITask.chooseTransition Method if you are doing that in Java
- Use iwcallback CLT
- perhaps some other methods exist that I did not encounter yet
