Multiple record types, one DCT, ONE TPL

I have a situation where I have content which needs to be seperated by topic, which is stored as DCRs. This content will be rendered as HTML, but I only need one DCT and one TPL for the whole set of topics (file names could overlap (e.g. index.htm), so the topics need separate directories).

Most of the load in work (there's 1500 DCRs) will be scripted, but ongoing maintenance will be performed using the DCT.

Anybody know a way to have 20 record types share one TPL and one DCT without copying them 20 times (changes to the TPL would require propagation to all the dirs - what a nightmare) ?

You can use one data-type, and seperate the DCRs into multiple sub-directories of the type's data directory.
