Tagger GUI
srogers
hi ,
Is there any way by which i can configure metacapture-rule.cfg...so that tagger gui display metadata capture form only for few catogery on the branch & for other category it should not display anything not even the default rule metadata capture form.
eg like we have category : about_us,products,registration.
don't want any metadata capture form should appear for registration category.
This is directory structure
main/fii/WORKAREA/integration/templatedata/registration
metadata-rules.cfg
<metadata-rules>

One method would be to place all items you want categorized in one folder and the other in another. Then tell metadata-rules only about the one you want to load the TagUI for.
Another method would be to use a naming structure on the files and echo that inthe regex. Or write the regex so it includes only the files you want tagged and none of the others (i.e. [ file1 | file2 | file3]).
It is a regex, so it can bedefined in many ways - experiment.

understand what u r telling..i did that... but problem is when i m submiting
files from company & email folder.. i don't want metadata formshould appear instead it should straight away goes to next step but for sub_type i want metadata form which i configured should appear before moving to next steps...(for sub_type its working fine the way i configured but when i m trying to sumbit file from company & email folder for which i didn't set metadata rules...its showing error instead of going to next step directly
This is my directory structure
PNT/Integration/templatedata/....
fii_dev/Integration/templatedata/.....
fii/Integration/templatedata
/common
/product
/registration(company ,email ,sub_type r under registration)
/company
/email
/sub_type
here's how i configured metadata cfg file like this :
<metadata-rules>
vpath- regex="/default/main/fii/WORKAREA/integration/templatedata
/registration/sub_type.*">
here i didn't set any metadata for
registration
/ company
/email

1. Are you using the New TagUI by declaring rules in the tagui folder or the previous method where all rule definitions are in a datacapture.cfg file?
2. Default behavior should be to ingnore all branches for which there is no rule. So my guess would be that somehow one of your regular expressions is in fact matching your paths for file in the directories you do not want tagged. I would start by being absolutely explicit in my rules for each branch I want tagged to see if I can eliminate the hidden match that maybe happening.
