Not getting callback from IPL

Hi All,

I am populating the drop downs of a DCT from the xml file for which i am using a js file and an ipl file.

This js file calls the ipl file to populate the drop down's .
But i am not getting teh call back from the ipl file .
I have attached both the files .
Please let me know what wrong i am doing .

Are you doing this through a workflow? It looks like you are doing it through templating/formpublisher? You should read the formpublisher developer's guide and formapi documents. There is no way to get back from a callserver, since it is an asynchronous call. You will need to put in some delay and can't pass back any status.

That's not entirely true - what you do is have your callserver code access the FormAPI layer of the window that invoked it (I can't remember off-hand but it's something like parent.opener or window.opener or window.parent.opener, etc. -- it's been posted about a number of times) -- once your callserver script has access to the FormAPI layer, it can call a function defined in your FormAPI code to *continue* whatever it was you were doing when you invoked the callserver process.

It's not as easy to grasp as a synchronous process, but it does work.

Your callServer functionality seems to be abstracted to some proprietary (not IWOV) callServerManager Class.
We have no way of knowing the proper API to it. Talk to your Company Developers / Support that own these assets,
hopefully it's documented

Thanks for the reply.
I added a custom function to pass the parameters back to the js in the Callserver manager class and it works.
