Call the Search Web Service

hello,

i work on mediabin 4.6 using VB6 and i have a problem, i need to call the Search web Service Method (page 344 of the 4.6 api guide) but its the first time i use WebService and i dont have idea of "how".
i searched on this forum for "web service code example" but i didnt found any help, someone can help me and post here an example of how to use\call search or any other webservice or just post a links of another discussios.
