Restore file from froozen edition

Hello,
I want to restore a deleted file from an edition. This file was already deleted in the edition. If I try to revert it to a previous version of that file, I get the message, that the file system is in read-only mode or the archive is froozen.
How can I check which edition is froozen and how to unfreeze it? Up to now, I found the iwstat and iwfreeze commands, but both seem not to accept an edition as parameter.

STAGING Area and Editions are read only. You can restore anything at all only in the Workarea.
