Preview JSP generated by Livesite .page

System

Hi ,

I have generated JSP from .page file.
Select .page > Click action menu > select generate JSP

When I am trying to preview the generated JSP i am getting "The page cannot be found error"
This is expected since IIS cannot render JSP page.

I guess, for this we need to set the proxy_preconnect_remap section in iw.cfg

[iwproxy_preconnect_remap]
_regex=^.*/WORKAREA/WA1/(.*jsp)=http://tserver Smiley Tongue

ort/application/$1
Question :

Can we the inbuilt tomcat server to preview this?
Do we need to install separate tomcat to render this on teamsite server?
What will be the application here?
Do we need to change the server.xml file?

Any pointers to this would be appreciated!!

Thanks
Vinay

No,to preview generated jsp you can not use inbuilt tomcat server.Yes you need to install seperate tomcat.

What will be the application here?

the site you have created will be the application that is supposed to be deployed to webapps in tomact server

Do we need to change the server.xml file?

there are 2 cases-

Case-1

if you are deploying the site then no need to change server.xml

Case-2

if you are not deploying the site(for preview)then ,you have to change the server.xml.you have to map Y Drive to tomcat server.

There are somthing need to calrify regarding Tomcat Server.

First Interwoven teamsite itself based on Tomcat Server. But must not use it for other purposes.
For previewing JSP page you need to install a new instance of Tomcat Server. Now you can preview jsp with deploying it to webapps folder or mapping the content center directory with Tomcat Server.
As you mention LS Runtime, there is differences between LS Runtime and Tomcat Webapps. Tomcat instance runs from Service but LS Runtime runs from \\ls-home\runtime\run.bat start, as both works on same port.
Deployment in LS Runtime directory works through workflow which deploys .page files and its dependencies as different sites.
Tomcat Webapps works on .jsp files.

So you need to deploy jsp files in Tomcat Webapps directory. There might be some settings for .page and .jsp in tomcat server configuration. Its need to be find. Hope any Guy will help you later.
