Hey Guys,

Quick and simple question.

Ive noticed that when text is cut and pasted into a text field from M$ Word, any non standard characters are saved as /302/230 blah blah.

Im just confused as which format that is because i know a dcr is supposed to be utf8.

our iwhome/local/config/file_encoding.cfg has the following...
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<vpath_to_encoding_map>
<regex_map>
<!-- Default encoding of file contents. -->
<subst reg_vpath=".*"
val_encoding="ISO-8859-1"/>

<!-- Insert custom rules here. -->
</regex_map>
</vpath_to_encoding_map>

is that setting out of the box??... would i expect any adverse effects if i set it to UTF8...

and is file_encoding.cfg only applied to generated content AND dcr's or just the generated content.?
