File Should not be commited to Staging area

Hi
I am trying to deploy files from Teamsite Staging to production environment.
in that process i need to put a restriction for Staging area that ,files should not be commited to Teamsite staging while the workflow to deploy files from TS staging to production is instantiated.

How can i set the option for TS staging to not allow the files from work areas? i think i need to make TS staging is readonly.

The staging area is already readonly.

Take some training on TS.

You may also want to restrict a file from being in more than 1 workflow job at a time.

Consider having your workflow (I assume you're using a workflow) create an edition after submitting the files, and then perform your deployment from that edition.
