Empty Strings in the DCR

After upgrading Teamsite from version 6.1 to 6.7.2 SP2.
When we are trying to edit file, We found out that the datacapture.cfg file does not accept empty string in the value option. Take a look at the example below :

Check applicable countries. Select "None" if not applicable. If the country of your choice is not listed, contact web development team.

Need to change to the following in TS 6.7.2 SP2 :


User will not allowed to select "none" when editing file if we did not change the value="none" in the datacapture.cfg file.

Besides that, we also encountered the same problem in workflow.
The following code will caused the workflow to be stuck, not able to proceed.



I aobserved that the datacapture.cfg is accepting the epmty strings in the value for the options in the radio box.

Any work around for this or we need to change all the DCR

Or just remove the

required="t"

attribute for the item - since it apparently isn't true.
