SP edit mode is slow in loading

When I click on an SP page to edit in TeamSite, it opens up page in edit mode. In this page, header and right navigation bar are appearing but the display area takes loooong in displayiong. Why is that ? Then when I click on preview, it takes for ever.

How to resolve this ?

How to resolve this ?

There are quite a few things to consider:
1. See how many components are been added to the .page, if it has more than 20 components then it takes relatively more time to upload.
2. Did you run either maketoolkit/build.sh to make any changes, very frequently??
3. To isolate the issue can you try this option from your local system:
ping -t or -w 20
and see whats the performance.
4. How frequently do you run iwfsshrink?

I have not done any of the above mentioned things.
Right now Teamsite is down completely. When I trye in server url, I get an error page.
I can not ssh the server
What can be wrong ?
