Rollback strategy while upgrading TS 6.5 to TS 6.7.2 on Win Server 2003 SP2

Hi ,
We are planning to upgrade from TS 6.5 system to TS 6.7.2 on Win server 2003 SP2. We also want to have rollback plan during upgrade on Production server. In case upgrade fails on Production server during installation, is it possible to have TS 6.5 version back on Production. Of Course, we will back up our custom scripts and changes. We are concern about system file rollback which we can not back up.
Could somebody please provide us with Rollback strategy for this.

There is no simple solution.

Many people use VMWare instances for that. Others look to restore from backup. You can do that or keep close track on what you do and how to undo it.

You are looking for someone to post a strategy that took days or weeks to develop and that is nto going to happen. Even if I could legally post one (it was created and paid for by a client) it would be of little help since the OS, TS levels, DB, and environment in general are going to vary slightly or wildly.
