add replicant

hi,
im reading through the formapi but i can't find anything regarding replicants.

is there a way to add a replicant as soon as the form loads?

i found this here in the forum:
"Suppose you have a replicant defined in a DCT, then you can use FormAPI to add instances of that replicant."

how can i do that?

What rev of TS ? In 6.7.1 item.addInstance();

I am not certain if this was available in 6.5, I think it was added in the last year or 2.

IWItem.addInstance (index, [choice_name]) has been introduced in TS 6.5
