This is the scenario like XSL Transformation, In XSL Transformation we have one xsl and one or more xml,The xsl is being mapped to xml and based on xsl ,it converts xml into desired output.

we have did similar to this using java code on externaltask,in this we have one xsl mapped to xml to generate html page.

In your case its .page(as output).So you need to develope JAVA Code and called it on runtime,so that it can use that xsl in order to convert you xml's into .page.

The requirement has twisted a bit.can we generate a .page file on runtime by mapping the xsl and xml file sent as parameters in query string.i mean on click of the print icon, it should send the xml and the desired xsl file and render the page dynamically.

As per your requirement what i understand is

On Click of an Button some code executes which get XSL and XML file as parameters coming from query string and process them to generate .page file,

you want that current page should be replaced/updated by the new one dynamically when all the process got completed .

Is it so or you have something else as requirement ?

So, the solution mentioned in my earlier post will work here but a little bit modification.

These are the possible steps :

Create an Java Code as i have given you the link where i had already posted the code piece,this code will get XSL and XML as parameters and after processing generate an .page file

In you code,name that file as same as of your current file and also save or generate the new file at the same location from where the current page is being residing.

Now in your application you have to use auto-refresh at the end of the code so that when the code get completed,the page automatically reloaded again and call for the updated .page is sent to server browser request.

The request will bring the updated copy and it will help you.

Yes as per my understanding.
Just Develop your component in java using the concept of controller and external.

First develop this functionality in your Application using Java ,means to say create a java class which perform this function at your local server.
Then transfer that functionality into component using controller and external concept.
