meta-data characters

We when are calling TeamSite/Metadata/**** values through component templates the last lettter of each meta-data content value is gettng cut off. File > Properties displays the information properly. It is only when we generate from the command line tool iwextattr, which we use in a subroutine on the component template.

If you run the iwextattr command from the actual command line - do you see this problem? Or only when used within the subroutine of the component template?

If the former - it sounds like a bug and you should contact Interwoven Support.

If the latter - it sounds like a problem with your subroutine and/or surrounding code within your component template. If you post the code (preferably as an *attachment*) - someone here will probably be willing to take a look and let you know if they spot such an error.

How are you executing iwextattr
Remember its always best to use chomp instead of chop, after executing a shell command.

Having the last character missing sounds exactly what chop can unintentionally do.

What version of Teamsite Your are using ?
Do you have proper SP installed for that Version

For your information
We had a different problem with Teamsite 5.0.1 where the last char of the *.uid file used to missed out in workflow selection(drop down selection).

So the solution we found is to introduce a new line at the end of list of users in *.uid file.
