Teamsite Migration

janhavi

Hi,

We am planning to migrate Teamsite from 6.1 to 6.7.1

I am not sure how long will it take to do so. We are migrating entire content to Teamsite 6.7.1.
Can you please provide me some guidelines to do so?
According to my understanding I need to copy entire iw-store into new system. Does copying datacapture.cfg and other .wft files work in new teamsite 6.7.1?

Thanks,
Janvi

There are many scenarios you need to consider while upgrade, you should go through the migration docs and so many threads on this topic in this forum. To answer your query the datacapture.cfg and .wft files may or may not work depending on the customization done in them.

The biggest change you need to account for is any old customized code or configuration files that utilized (directly, or indirectly) the old iwhome/conf/roles/*.uid files - which should no longer exist after the upgrade to 671 is completed. There are some other semi-related issues to look at too (custom_roles.xml => custom_userops.xml, etc.) but most custom code and configuration files should work seamlessly.
