Content requestors are not able to approve the workflow request.

Some content requestors are not able to approve workflow requests. I checked the configs and they are set up as content requestors correctly. But when they try to approve, they get the error message “Operation not permitted”. Previously they were able to approve the request.
Can anyone please suggest a solution ?

Youn can check following things:

Is this a group task? as you mention content requestors. For group task, any of the group user can first take the ownership of the task and perform the task then nobody can take the ownership. (Depending on number of approves required).
Check the owner of the task in workflow.
Check the user's roles and permissions.

If this is a user task then only the owner of this task can approve/disapprove. If any other user tries to take action on this task then UI will not allow to do so.

If you want to allow more than one user to take action on this task then you should use group task instead of user task.

"Operation not permitted" message comes when there are some permisstion issues. You can check the log files servlet_out.log and acces.log at //iw-home/local/logs/iwui, is there any exception logged there.

Then how you assign the user to that task. Are you selecting an approver (user) at the workflow instantiation (screen) or something else?
